Figure 25 — Sectional Chart Excerpt · FAA-CT-8080-2H, p. 2-24

Figure 25 prints "NO SVFR" directly above the DALLAS LOVE (DAL) airport data block. What does this mean?

Why: FAA-CT-8080-2H Legend 1 defines this exactly: "NO SVFR – Fixed wing special VFR flight is prohibited." It restricts manned fixed-wing Special VFR operations specifically, not VFR flight in general.

  • Overreads "NO SVFR" as banning all VFR flight; the note only prohibits Special VFR operations, a specific manned-aircraft clearance used to operate below standard VFR weather minimums.
  • Misapplies a manned-aircraft Special VFR rule directly to small UAS; part 107's relevant requirement in that area is the § 107.41 ATC authorization rule, not an SVFR prohibition.
